趁着年轻,好好犯病

From Hyperthyroid Brother's Live Broadcast to Cross-Strait Issues: A Cognitive Breakthrough Battle of Generation Z

Preface#

Tonight, I saw discussions between ambitious young people in China and Taiwanese experts published by the Taiwan Affairs Office in my social circle, as well as the recent sensation of "Hyperthyroid Brother" Speed's tour in China. Just a few live broadcasts have broken the long-standing negative propaganda against China by foreign media, especially the bad media in the United States, which deeply moved me.

Thoughts on the Taiwan Issue#

# Discussion between ambitious youth and Taiwanese experts published by the Ji'an Taiwan Affairs Office

The premise of the discussion in the video is that there is only one China, with no sovereignty dispute, only a power struggle. They are debating whether the People's Republic of China or the Republic of China represents China. In my view, this is a relatively moderate stance among the various factions in Taiwan.

However, we must be wary of the fact that since Lee Teng-hui and Chen Shui-bian, the Taiwanese authorities have begun to tamper with history textbooks, attempting to erase the existence of Chinese history. The new generation, such as those born after 2000, who have grown up in this environment, mostly lack their own judgment and do not pay much attention to current affairs. They passively accept the content in textbooks, have no historical ties to the mainland, and lack a sense of identity with the Chinese nation. They aspire to become a new sovereign state. The principle of "one China" has been consistently upheld across the Taiwan Strait since the 1992 Consensus. The natural independence sentiment among this group of youth is something we should be cautious about.

A past conversation with a Taiwanese netizen

Me: Are you Chinese?

She: No, I am Taiwanese.

The Taiwan issue is complex and profound, having experienced periods of Dutch and Japanese occupation, as well as struggles among different factions that split under the rule of the Republic of China. Moreover, companies like TSMC hold the lifeblood of cutting-edge technology, and the soaring stock prices amid the AI wave have significant strategic implications for China's technological advancement. Currently, TSMC has invested over 100 billion in building factories in the United States, set to officially start production in 2025. This is quite unfavorable for China in breaking the technological monopoly, and our domestic chip industry still has a long way to go in self-research.

I believe everyone's first impression of Taiwan comes from elementary school textbooks, "Treasure Island Taiwan." In our impression, Taiwan is just a distant territory, rich in resources, with a suitable climate and fresh fruits all year round. However, as we grow older and learn about the history of Treasure Island Taiwan, we realize how unfortunate it is and how angry we are at its struggles.

But we know that the desire for unification among the people on both sides of the strait remains unchanged, hoping to return to the embrace of the motherland soon.

Speed's Tour in China#

Speed traveled to 8 locations in China: Shanghai - Beijing - Shaolin Temple - Chengdu - Chongqing - Hong Kong - Shenzhen - Changsha, showcasing the true cultural soft power of China to international friends. Even as a Chinese person who loves to explore, I was amazed and couldn't help but say, "China is so big, I want to see it!"

From the kung fu of Shaolin Temple, the cyberpunk city of Chongqing, the light rail passing through buildings, and the mechanical vibe everywhere, to Shenzhen's impressive technological hard power with BYD U8 driving on water, Huawei's foldable phones, and Meituan's drone delivery, topped off with an aerial car and a drone performance at night, it was a thrilling experience.

Conclusion#

China is increasingly playing a crucial role internationally. Whether it is the people of Taiwan or the people of the mainland, we can see that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the country is becoming better and better. We should firmly believe that Taiwan will one day return to the embrace of the motherland. Even though our country and society still have many unresolved issues, some people may harshly criticize the government's weakness on the Taiwan issue, while others may resent the darkness of society. But I want to say that even if we are in darkness, we should still aspire to light. We are already on the broad road, aren't we?

What we need to do next is to believe in the country, think rationally, love our country wisely, see the essence through phenomena, and pursue inner peace and tranquility.

All phenomena are illusions.
